Growing up in Abilene, TX, I never imagined I would one day be working in insurance. After graduating from St. Edwards University in 1991, I started my insurance career with State Farm in Austin. After holding several positions in the company, my wife and I relocated to Indianapolis, IN where we raised our two sons. In 2013 I accepted a position with Allstate Insurance in St. Louis, MO. After several promotions, I had the opportunity to lead agents in MO, KS, IA, & NE.
Also in 2013 my youngest son starting working as an agency producer. In 2017 we talked about doing something together. A year later we returned to Austin, where it all began, to open our own agency. When I’m not at the office, I enjoy attending our local church, trying new restaurants, and doing a little boating on Lake Travis!
Joe Kampert

I was born in Texas, raised in the Midwest, and now I’m back home! I have been in the insurance industry for 5 years now. I began my career in customer service, addressing any policy-related questions as well as handling claims. From there, I became a commercial specialist before transitioning into an office manager for a startup agency in St. Louis, MO. I’ve learned so much over the years, which has equipped me with knowledge and expertise in nearly every area within the insurance industry. I enjoy helping others. In my spare time I’m passionate about coaching sports and giving back to the community in any way I can!

Alex Hanke

I was born and raised in Indiana. Growing up, I was a big soccer player and eventually played college soccer at Hanover College. While attending Hanover, I also joined the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. After graduation, I moved to Cincinnati, OH to accept a position with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. During my time there, I truly learned the meaning of customer service. But I wanted something more. After learning a bit about the insurance industry, I decided a career in that field was right for me. A little over a year ago, I began that transition. Today I’m here at the Redwood Agency Group where I truly feel like I’ve found my calling. I’m a caring, efficient, personable, and hardworking individual that will bring these aspects to light each and every day in order to give our customers the best experience possible.
